The PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT Seminar for BMS Teachers

The Computer teachers and HODs of Baptist Mission schools recently attended performance improvement course organized by the Industrial Training Fund, Ibadan Area Office. The seminar was three days held between February 20 and 22 at the Baptist Academy, Obanikoro, Lagos.
The success of education reform depends on high quality professional development, so there is a need to re-awake, resonate, and ignite the passion and enthusiasm in teaching profession by equipping the teachers with skills and information to make indelible influence on their students, in their local communities and the society at large.
The Performance Improvement Course was a success and recorded so many testimonies from the teachers in attendance. The facilitators were excellent. The course added value to the teachers that will definitely reflect in their works as they return back to their school and kudos to the BMS for this laudable initiative. We hope that the BMS will organize more of such seminars for its teachers in the future. Enjoy the images from the 3 days seminar on the link below:

The MAKING of a new ART STUDIO

Words are not enough to convey the fulfillment I had when I behold the newly furnished and equipped art studio of the BBHS Mission. Words are inexplicable to describe the new creative haven for the boys at the BBHS, it is absolutely incredible.
To God, be the glory. Many thanks for the support I have received from the principal, Dn. Abel Adebajo; the kind gesture and generous donation of the sum of hundred thousand naira from Mr. Ladipo Ajayi, the president of the Old Boys Association, the money which was expended into the refurbishment of the studio.

Barack Obama once said that, “Art Education is essential for building innovative thinkers who will be leaders for tomorrow”. Learning of Arts and Creativity is indispensable for the growth and sustainable development of societies and individuals; UNESCO.
Children are naturally born curious, imaginative and creative, but these qualities cannot grow unless they are nurtured, especially in a conducive and serene environment that encourages and stimulate creative exploration.

The new Art Studio is an incredible platform to preserve and secure the future of the BBHS boys through qualitative art education.

SSS ONE CLASS PARTY

The SSS 1 Class party of the BBHS Mission, Abeokuta was celebrated on Wednesday 11th of December, 2013. In attendance was an old student of the school, Mr. Afolabi Onabokun whose presence was a good moral boost to the students. He gave a wonderful speech on career and he extensively exposed the students to the archive of the old boys making positive imparts within and outside the shore of Nigeria. However there was a brilliant speech from the principal of the school, Dn. Abel Adebajo. In one word the event was “exhilarating”... All thanks to the class teacher, Mr Adeniyi Olusegun who put this together for the boys.
