On October
15th, 2014, Baptist Boys High School (Mission) was
represented by a student at the final of this year NNPC/Chevron Joint Venture National Art
Competition for Nigerian Secondary School students with the theme; Nigeria at
100 (Centenary Celebration).
Out of 641
Artworks submitted, 20 were selected for the Art exhibition/award ceremony in
Lagos. The event took place at the Muson Centre, Onikan and just 15 secondary
schools across the nation were represented.
To the glory
of God, the Artwork of Ayankola Olatomiwa Ridwan, a student of Baptist Boys
High School (Mission), Abeokuta was one of the 20 selected Art works and
eventually emerged one of the best 5 in the Junior Secondary School category.
BBHS is one of the 15 Secondary Schools that were represented, and the only
School from Ogun State. This is the first time BBHS participated at the
NNPC/CHEVRON Art exhibition/Award ceremony since the inception of the contest in 2005.
Ayankola
Olatomiwa Ridwan did the Baptist Boys High School Abeokuta so proud and broke a
new record in the history of the school. He is indeed our new Ambassador and he
has indeed represented BBHS excellently.
He attended
the event with his art teacher, Mr. Olusegun Michael Adeniyi and many thanks to
the principal, Dn. Abel Adebajo for his incessant support towards the academic
success of the students.
Congratulations to the management of CHEVRON
for the success of the Art Contest and Miss Joy for successfully hosting the
