BBHS PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION 2013
To curb the growing graduate unemployment rate, the Federal
Government has introduced 32 trade entrepreneurial subjects to the Senior
Secondary Schools curriculum and made it mandatory for all students to take at
least one trade subject since the commencement of the 2011/12 Academic session.
The aim is to encourage job creation, economic self reliance, and promote
constructive and productive engagement of Youths to arrest the problem of Mass
unemployment and incidences of anti social activities. As part of the effort of the management of
B.B.H.S. (Mission) to facilitate its students social, emotional and cognitive
growth and put them on the path to reach their full potentials in life has
packaged the works of its students from the PHOTOGRAPHY class (One of the
approved trade/entrepreneurial subjects for the school by NECO/WAEC) for the
public view. The essence was to create
understanding and dynamic result oriented of the photography class. The exhibition was intended to instill in the
students the sense of intellectual wonder and aesthetic adventure on the path
of still- imaging. Documenting moments – really we cannot go back in time but
with these pieces the children are offered the chance to take a step backward
and appreciate the time spent, events of the past and happenings in their
academic adventure at BBHS. Acquisition
of these set skills from the Photography platform will offer the students the
opportunity to build a life for themselves and their communities. The event was held on 26th and 27th of March,
2013.
